PRESENTATION OF THE SESSION

Innovative public service delivery is dependent on transformations in the capacity of governments to enable an environment of good governance and public institutions that are competent, efficient, effective, inclusive, transparent, and accountable. As citizens’ direct line to a government and an important means of daily interaction between them, public services are a pivotal part of a public administration. Public services are what make the state visible to its citizens, in particular at Local level. At the same time, it is obvious that mainly States bear primary responsibility for the implementation of SDGs. States have to elaborate sound strategies and innovative approaches at the national and local level, and forge inclusive partnerships at the international level. Session provides for a valuable opportunity to discuss:
  1. The successful models of Public Service Delivery,
  2. The principles of public service delivery,
  3. Problems and impediments which are facing by people during the provision of public services in local level
  4. The role of information technologies,
  5. Identification of best practices and future perspectives in international and regional level.
